• Have an active Express Entry profile in the federal Express Entry pool.
• Meet the criteria of at least one of the federal immigration programs managed by  

 Express Entry: Canadian Experience Class or Federal Skilled Trades Program or Federal Skilled Worker Program.

•  Have a primary occupation in your Express Entry profile that is in demand.
• Intend to live and work permanently in Alberta and have expressed interest in immigrating to Alberta.
• Have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 300.
• Are not a refugee claimant or subject to a federal appeal or removal process. (The AAIP cannot intervene in federal refugee claims, appeals, or removal processes.)
• Do not have an active nomination under any AAIP stream (i.e., one that has not expired or is eligible for extension or a nomination used to apply for permanent residence where a decision has not yet been made).
• Are not currently barred from reapplying to the AAIP due to misrepresentation.
